Garnishment in Wisconsin, An Early Collection Option
When it comes to collecting judgments, one size does not always fit all. Often, it is unknown whether there is money or other income stream available for seizure before a post-judgment asset deposition of the debtor is taken. In situations where bank or other depository account information is known, however, garnishment may be appropriate prior to an asset deposition, and may be an efficient means to secure money and/or a stream of income of the judgment debtor quickly, and before initiating other available collection procedures.
